Air conditioning installation for houses and flats in Brussels
Our client Ms. Volpe, owner of a garage specialising in engine repair and sales, contacted us to install an air conditioner in her administrative office located inside the premises.
The aim was therefore to provide a comfortable, well-ventilated space without disrupting the main activity of the garage.
The objective was to install a powerful, quiet and discreet air conditioning solution without compromising the aesthetics or layout of the space.
After analysing the premises and the constraints of the location, we proposed the installation of a ceiling-mounted cassette air conditioner.
Why is this type the best for installing air conditioning in an office?
360° air diffusion for even coverage
Discreet design integrated into the false ceiling
Low noise level, ideal for workspaces
Inverter technology for greater energy savings
The office is now efficiently and quietly air-conditioned, with even air distribution throughout the room. Garage staff enjoy a comfortable environment even during heat waves, which also improves customer service and work quality.

Air conditioning installation for houses and flats in Brussels
A properly sized air conditioning system installed by a professional can effectively cool your home during hot weather, while remaining economical and quiet. Thanks to fixed single-split or multi-split systems, indoor air is cooled quickly and thermal comfort is maintained in every room.
Reversible air-to-air heat pumps, widely used in Brussels, also provide efficient heating in winter for a 2-in-1 solution.
Composition of a residential air conditioning system
A domestic air conditioning system consists of two main modules:
- Indoor unit: distributes cool air inside
- Outdoor unit: incorporates the compressor and expels heat

The steps to successfully installing air conditioning in houses and flats in Brussels
The installation of air conditioning systems in houses and flats in Brussels requires the services of a qualified technician. By using an approved installer, you will benefit from a system that is perfectly suited to your needs and installed in accordance with best practice. To better understand how the installation process works, here are the different steps followed by our Frigotec experts.
Which air conditioning system should you choose?
There are several technologies available for different uses. The choice of device directly influences the complexity of the installation. To select the ideal system (power, location, number of rooms, etc.), the assistance of a specialist is essential.
- Split air conditioning
This model consists of an indoor unit and an outdoor unit for cooling a single zone. The reduced number of connections makes installation relatively simple.
- Multi-split air conditioning
With several indoor units connected to a single outdoor unit, this solution allows you to air condition multiple rooms. The installation requires a larger network of ducts.
- What about portable air conditioners?
Mobile systems do not require installation, but they do require access to the outside (a slightly open window or a hole in the wall). They are less effective than fixed systems.
At Frigotec, we favour fixed split and multisplit air conditioners for optimal comfort.
Fixed air conditioning installation: the work process
Here is how Frigotec ensures safe and efficient installation:
Choice of locations
We work with you to determine the ideal location for the outdoor unit and indoor units.
Important criteria: room layout, accessibility for maintenance, optimum power, minimum pipe length, sufficiently strong wall.
👉 Tip: Install the indoor unit at a height of approximately 2 metres for ideal diffusion comfort.
Installation of indoor units
- Discreet drilling for cables and pipes, wall mounting or flush mounting depending on the configuration (false wall, false ceiling, etc.). Only the visible grilles blend harmoniously into the room.
Installation of the outdoor unit
- Fixed to the façade or mounted on a bracket depending on the building’s constraints. We take care to limit noise pollution for the neighbourhood and optimise the system’s efficiency.
Installation of refrigeration pipes
- Installation of insulated copper pipes between units. Depending on your home, they can be concealed in ducts, channels or screed.
Electrical connection
- Connection of the outdoor unit to the electrical network to power the entire installation. Safety and compliance are, of course, ensured by our certified installers.
Condensate management
- Each indoor unit produces condensation. We install a dedicated drainage system or, if necessary, a lift pump for renovations.
Commissioning and inspections
- Pressure leak test
- Circuit purge
- Possible refrigerant supplement
- Checking for proper operation
All commissioning stages are carried out in accordance with Belgian regulatory requirements in order to guarantee performance and safety.
Finishing touches and cleaning
